Bacon Dressing Recipe

Cook 1 lb. of bacon until it is done enough that you can crumble it when it cools. Set aside.

In Mixing Bowl, combine:2C Sugar2tsp Salt2-4 Eggs (depending on size)1C White Vinegar4C Water

Amish Mashed Potato Filling

One of the staples at our family gatherings especially at Thanksgiving.
1 C. diced celery
1 medium onion minced
1 C. butter
2 packages bread cubes
6 eggs beaten
1 quart milk
1 quart mashed potatoes
3 t. salt
2 pinches saffron in 1 C. boiling water

Baked Corn Supreme

A very simple recipe and one of my favorites.  Taste best with John Cope’s Evaporated Sweet Corn.
1 15oz. can Cope’s corn, drain liquid
1 heaping teaspoon sugar
1 cup scalded milk
2 eggs, well beaten
Salt and Butter to taste
