Glass Candy
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups light syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon oil
1 teaspoon red food coloring
Have 2 large baking sheets ready to receive the candy.
In a 3 quart saucepan, bring sugar and corn syrup stirring until the sugar dissolves and the miture begins to boil.
Do not stir but allow to cook to the hard crack stage (300 degrees)
Remove from the heat. Quickly stir in the cinnamon oil and food coloring. Pour the hot syrup onto the baking sheets in thin even layers. Cool at room temperature in a dry location. Break into small pieces and store in an air tight container
